ABOUT
Sydney is an actor, intimacy coordinator, and writer based in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Growing up in a musically inclined and arts-loving family, Sydney understood the importance of connection through the arts from a young age.
Her first exposure to the stage was a form of grief therapy–and through her shy stupor, she swore up and down she’d only do that one production of Seussical the Musical in which she performed as a “Little Who”. That oath turned into a BFA in Acting from Ball State University many years later.
After earning her degree, Sydney expanded her focus to Intimacy Coordination, training with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators International (IDC) and mentoring under Greg Geffrard, a respected Chicago-and-beyond-based intimacy professional. She credits Greg for laying the foundation of her evolving skills and remains committed to creating safer, more collaborative artistic spaces.
Sydney’s acting credits span stage and screen, including work with Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Gift Theatre, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Interrobang Theatre Project, Chicago Dramatists, and GhostBat Productions. Her training includes classes at The Howard Fine Acting Studio in Hollywood, Vagabond School of the Arts, and Acting Studio Chicago. Passionate about developing new works, Sydney thrives on the entire creative process, whether delving into cutting-edge material or uncovering new depths in known works.
As an intimacy coordinator, Sydney has worked with organizations such as GhostBat Productions, DePaul University’s School of Cinematic Arts, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, Oil Lamp Theater, Babes with Blades, Art4, Kalliope & Co., and Los Angeles-based director James Francis Flynn. Her mission extends beyond the stage or set—she is dedicated to empowering others to advocate for themselves and to foster a more equitable and inclusive entertainment industry. She deeply believes in reshaping the narratives we internalize, particularly around intimacy, authenticity, and representation in media.
